Director, Planner and Urban Designer

An experienced chartered town planner and urban designer, Jo forms excellent working partnerships across the private, public and third sectors. This is reflected in her management of complex planning projects and successful delivery of a range of development types.

Jo has a strong commitment to making places work for people and increasing awareness and understanding of good design and good placemaking. She is an RTPI Masterclass trainer, RTPI North West Awards Judge and contributes to the urban design and planning courses at the University of Manchester.

Outside of work Jo enjoys the beautiful Peak District landscape and renovating her home (no it’s not finished yet!).

"Tromsø, Norway. The combination of the sea, mountains and a characterful, largely timber, town centre is idyllic. The Tromsø library, built in 2005, is somewhere I could happily spend a few hours, reading, enjoying the bowed arches of the roof and looking out towards the mountains."
