Our team is comprised of town planners and urban designers placing us at the forefront of design policy and guidance production. We use our experience of urban design and the planning system to offer bespoke methodologies and strategies for each project, be that in support of Local Plan production or design codes for a particular settlement or neighbourhood.

Given the recent shifts in national policy, which makes design integral to good planning, such expertise is invaluable. Wirral Local Plan Housing Density Study

Working alongside Arup, we were commissioned by Wirral Borough Council to produce the Wirral Housing Density Study. We created a methodology to identify zones in which higher densities would be most appropriate based on best practice and established urban design principles. This piece of work promoted a transit orientated approach to increase housing densities and promote a brownfield first approach to housing land supply.

Ruddington Design Guide

Working closely with local residents and groups we prepared a two part design guide to help shape development coming forward within the village of Ruddington. As a community-led policy document, the final design guide provides direction for those seeking to extend and alter their homes in addition to guidance for larger scale residential and non-residential schemes.
