Urban design development

Within the revised National Planning Policy Framework (2023), considered design approaches have been brought to the forefront of the planning system. With our wealth of experience, and multi-disciplinary team, this is a shift that we are expertly equipped to respond to. Urban Imprint offers a comprehensive range of urban design development services tailored to individual needs. We work closely with architects, landscape architects, highway engineers and ecologists to evolve solutions which are robust and deliverable whilst seeking the best outcomes for our clients.

Our work includes production of development strategies, masterplanning, concept and parameters work in addition to detailed design. We also offer a design review service to enable potential issues or improvements to be identified early on in the design process and in advance of planning, saving you time later on.

Portfolio

Homes England

As advisors to Homes England, we frequently review masterplans submitted with development partner bids to ensure proposals offer the best design solution for each site. Our work involves reviewing the submitted schemes against the Building for Healthy Living criteria and providing an assessment based on the principles of good urban design.

Cardway Cartons

Our work in Alsager involved production of an urban design concept and masterplan for the redevelopment of a former industrial site to accommodate 110 units. This involved detailed design work from establishing the site’s opportunities and constraints through to design principles and an indicative housing layout for planning.

If you have a project you wish to discuss, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
